How to find our quayside studio

We’re on Google Maps, just search Skullen for detailed directions direct to your phone

On foot from city centre

Walk down Grey Street onto Dean Street & follow the road round past Akenside Traders on your left. Bear left as you pass The Bridge Tavern which sits just under the Tyne Bridge & Akenside Hill is right in front of you. We’re about half way up the hill on your right.

By Car

Make your way to the Quayside & follow Sandhill (B1600) then turn onto Lombard Street. Turn left onto Queen Street as you pass under the Tyne Bridge & Akenside Hill will be on your right.

By Train

Newastle Central Station is the nearest mainline station. From here it is possible to take the stairs to the Quayside but much easier to grab a taxi from out the front.

Metro stations within walking distance are Manors & Central Station. Alternatively if coming from south of the river Gateshead Metro is about half a mile away.

Parking

There are pay & display bays directly outside the studio. These are limited to 2hrs.

Grey Street MSCP is a five minute walk down the hill.

Quayside & Stockbridge MSCP’s are a five minute walk up & over Dog Bank but if it’s dark come via the Quayside. Travel towards the river on Pandon which flows onto Broad Chare. Turn right onto the Quayside & head towards the Tyne Bridge. Turn onto Lombard Street just before you head under the bridge and follow this up to Queen Street. Pass under the bridge & turn right onto Akenside Hill at the Bridge Tavern. Wer’re about halfway up the hill on the right.
